Review | Real, Honest and Unique. I was drawn in and was able to finish reading in a single sitting (Which is huge for me). Thank you for sharing your story and for your courage to come forward when we instinctively want to bury things and run from our past. Especially when many of us are taught to do just that, stuff our feelings down and never speak of them. The level of education that we achieve is not only measured by your grades, being a straight-A student, having a perfect GPA or your ability to be accepted into a prestigious Ivy League College. Some of us are forced to learn the hard way that traditional academic classes don’t prepare us for Real Life. Being a college graduate doesn’t guarantee that you won’t have to compromise your morals in order to pay the bills. Those readers that are struggling with a similar dilemma may take comfort in knowing that hard times are temporary, it has to rain before the rainbow appears. My long-winded point being: We have to live life in order to gain experience and learn life lessons that you can’t find in academic books. If there is no one to guide us, we do the best that we can until we learn to do it better. |
